10 May 2010 east Norman tornado

A damaging (EF4) tornado moved about a mile north of our house in east Norman. This tornado caused substantial damage along hwy 9 in SE Norman and Little Axe, and passed close to or slightly damaged the homes of several friends/coworkers.

This view is about what it looked like (distance-wise) to the naked eye. The tornado continues to cause damage, and strong rear-flank downdraft winds continue to whip up spray off the lake.

The lake remained covered in white caps after the tornado began to move away.

The tornado fades from our view to the ENE. Around this time, a new tornado was already in progress to our ESE (couldn't see anything with poor visibility/trees). This new tornado would end up damaging the "Country Boy" grocery store on the so

Severe tree damage near the Little Axe school complex, just N of hwy 9. This looks like it's potentially EF3 damage which likely occurred near the time of my last tornado image.
