Fleeting wide angle view (to the N) of strong low-level circulation with a developing tornado near Eolian, TX. Rapid cloud base rotation was readily evident, though quickly obscured by wrapping rain. We encountered minor tree damage where this feature crossed the road, and it was later listed as the beginning point of a tornado that ended prior to the Breckenridge tornado. We attempted to view the latter tornado from US hwy 183, but the tornado was buried in the rain. After passage of the rain-wrapped mess, we encountered a ~1/2 mi wide swath of damage on US 183, and more EF-1 damage on the SE side of Breckenridge. The remainder of the chase was spent struggling to see anything given the very low cloud ceilings along the warm front toward Possum Kingdom Lake.
