This was me and Roger's third chase with TWISTEX. Our target was an outflow boundary-dryline intersection just SW of SJT. Storms formed as we ate lunch in SJT, and we got in good position ENE of the first supercell. A new storm formed to its SE and disrupted its inflow, plus the hail core cut off our escape to the N. Thus, we took the long way around the second storm to Brady, where we were blasted in the hook echo. The TWISTEX teams were separated in Brady, so Roger and I decided to go SE and get ahead of the gust front. Along the way, we resumed our internet connection and learned that the next storm to our SE was another supercell near Llano. We punched the NW part of the hook/hail and looped around to Marble Falls for the last intercept near dark.

The first signs of outflow with the small shelf appearance to the base. We soon fled S to avoid hail damage to the mobile mesonets.

The rear flank gust front approaches us just S of Brady. A tornado occurred while we drove S/SE of the storm, but poor contrast limited our view.
