Trail head for Dog Run Hollow at French Lake. The foot bridge was under ~6" of water when we first crossed about an hour before this image. Several sections of the trail were under 1-2 feet of water as the lake spilled over the top of the dam, while the other trails were laced with numerous tributaries. The view from atop the hill overlooking French Lake looked more like a rain forest than Oklahoma! I focused on occasional video during the hike, since I didn't feel like hauling the camcorder and camera in the rain for more than an hour. The water flowing over the dam and down West Cache Creek was impressive, and I can only imagine what it looked like in the rapids at 40 Foot Hole!
