We (me, Daphne, my kids, and Corey Mead) left SPC at 2 pm to chase the closest storms that we figured would develop and/or move into western OK. As luck would have it, the closest storm to our most direct approach (I-40 W) ended up being the most interesting storm in OK that evening. No tornadoes, but at least we didn't have to contend with 50-60 mph storm motions!
